ONLINE BUYING · PORTUGAL
A practical route from product search to safe delivery
Buying perfume online is easier when the decision is based on traceable product information, clear delivery terms and a return route you understand before opening the box.
01 · PRODUCT IDENTITY
Start with the exact product identity
A familiar brand name is not enough. Many perfumes exist in several concentrations, sizes, editions or formats, and the difference can change both the price and what arrives at your door. Read the complete product page rather than relying on a search thumbnail or a shortened title.
- Brand and full product name
- Check the house, line and complete name so that a similar-looking edition is not mistaken for the product you intended to buy.
- Concentration
- Confirm whether the listing is an Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, extrait or another format.
- Volume and set contents
- Check the millilitres and whether the offer is for one bottle, a gift set, a travel format or another presentation.
Concentration and volume are separate choices. An EDP is not automatically the better option, and a larger bottle is not automatically the right purchase if you are still learning whether the scent suits you.
02 · AUTHENTICITY
Look for a chain of checks, not one magic clue
No single photograph, batch code, price or packaging detail can establish authenticity on its own. A more sensible online check is to see whether the seller, product identity, purchase record and delivered item form a consistent chain.
- Seller information: look for a business name, contact method and usable terms rather than an anonymous social-media account.
- Product consistency: compare the brand, full name, concentration, volume and set contents across the page, basket and order confirmation.
- A durable record: keep the order confirmation and invoice so the exact purchase can be identified if a question arises.
- A normal checkout route: complete payment through the shop’s stated checkout process and be cautious about requests to pay privately outside the order.
Confidence comes from several matching details, not from a louder promise.
03 · PRICE AND PRESENTATION
Treat the price as context, not as a certificate
A lower price may reflect a promotion, a different bottle size, a changing commercial offer or the operating model of the seller. A higher price does not prove that a product is genuine either. Compare like with like: the same concentration, volume, edition and set contents.
Packaging can also change. A manufacturer may update a box, label, colour treatment or front presentation while the product identity remains the same. If a particular bottle or box matters to your purchase, ask the seller before ordering and keep the answer with your order records.
04 · DELIVERY
Read delivery information before you click “Pay”
The delivery cost is part of the real price of an online perfume. At Moon Fashion, the available shipping methods and cost are shown during the second step of the basket. They can depend on the destination, order weight or value, selected method, value-added services and whether you choose collection in store. Store collection does not carry a shipping charge.
Orders are shipped after payment confirmation. CTT Expresso may be used, and a tracking code is sent by email once the order has been shipped. Estimated delivery times can vary according to the selected service, so read the live information at checkout and keep the tracking message.
What should I check in the delivery step?
Use the final basket summary as a practical checkpoint. Confirm the name, complete address, postcode, phone number, destination, selected delivery method and total charge. If you need the parcel by a particular date, allow room for variation rather than treating an estimate as a guaranteed appointment.
- Make sure the delivery address is complete and that the carrier can reach you.
- Check whether a shop collection option suits your journey.
- Save the order acknowledgement, payment record and tracking email.
- If a delivery attempt fails because of an address or collection problem, contact the seller and follow the carrier’s instructions.
05 · RETURNS
Understand the return route before opening the perfume
Perfume is a product you may need to keep unopened while deciding whether a change-of-mind return is possible. Moon Fashion’s current Return Policy says that a customer has 14 days after receiving the order to request a return. For dissatisfaction, it describes an item that is properly packaged, in impeccable condition, unopened and unused, with the purchase invoice and protective outer packaging; the return shipping cost is the customer’s responsibility in that situation. The warehouse inspects the item before a refund, store credit or exchange is processed.
The policy also states that unsealed products or products that can be easily tampered with are not accepted for safety and hygiene reasons. The Terms & Service explains the statutory withdrawal route for distance purchases and treats damaged, incorrect or non-conforming goods separately. Read both pages before opening a product, because a change-of-mind return is not the same as reporting a faulty delivery.
What is the difference between changing my mind and receiving a problem order?
If you simply decide that the fragrance is not for you, the unopened-product conditions and return instructions apply. If the parcel contains the wrong product, arrives damaged, is incomplete or does not match the contract, contact Moon Fashion promptly with the order number and a clear description. Keep the outer packaging, delivery label and any useful photographs while the issue is assessed.
EU consumer information distinguishes the right to withdraw from the legal protection that applies when goods are faulty or do not conform to the purchase. The practical starting point is to notify the seller through a provable channel and follow the instructions for that specific situation. See Your Europe’s returns guidance and its guarantees guidance.
06 · SCENT DECISION
Use the fragrance description as a filter, not a promise
A screen cannot reproduce the complete experience of a perfume. Notes and descriptions help you narrow the choice, but the opening may not be the same as the settled scent, and skin, clothing, climate and application can change how it is perceived. Read the listed notes, concentration and intended audience together, then ask whether that direction fits the way you actually plan to wear it.
If you are unsure, choose a smaller confirmed format or test in person where possible. Do not buy a larger bottle merely because a product page uses strong performance language; no universal number of hours applies to every wearer.
Why should I save screenshots or order records?
A saved record makes a later question easier to explain. Keep the product name, selected concentration and volume, set contents, checkout total, delivery address, order number and invoice together. If presentation matters, save the product photograph shown at the time of purchase and ask the seller about any important variation before payment. This is useful documentation; it is not an authenticity certificate by itself.
07 · THE FINAL CHECK
